Chances are that you already own a pair of sunglasses and chances are that you’ve already lost a pair. That’s why I am recommending Merry’s Polarized Sunglasses. Merry’s brand offers a very affordable price point while mimicking the style and effectiveness of luxuriousness brands. That’s why these or any of their sunglasses make a great purchase, even as a secondary pair for your car. I’ve already lost one pair and I have already purchased a second order. As mentioned, they do offer other models of sunglasses but for this review, I am sticking with the unisex model listed by Amazon. That is the only model I’ve owned and used, but I imagine they are all very similar.

STYLE
Plain and simple, these shades look GOOD. The design itself is a very clean, crisp, and classic look. I use these sunglasses as my primary shades for social events. I’ve had a few people ask what brand I was wearing and where did I get them.
This model is offered in several different colored lens, some mirrored some not. I’ve personally have gone with the classic blue lens. The arms on the sunglasses are metal and not a true black, which I prefer. There are different colored arms based on your color choice.
QUALITY
Just to be clear, the product claims to have a metal frame, but this is only partially true. When hearing the term frame, I think of everything but the lenses. Using that definition of a frame, not all of the frame is metal. The arms, known as the temples, are the only metal portion. To me, the temples are what give these shades that nice, sexy, high quality feel. So the piece that holds and surrounds the lenses is the rim. The rims are your typical plastic rims, but honestly, I didn’t even notice this at first.
Overall, as one unit, I feel like Merry’s Polarized Sunglasses are of decent quality. They may not be Ray-Bans, Natives, or Costa Del Mars but I do think they are better than your average shades purchased at Wal-Mart. If I didn’t know what they cost, I would assume they’re in the $25-75 range. I would never guess they’re under $15.
As for longevity, I’ve not had them long enough to properly review that aspect. However, I’ve used them quite a bit, had them lying around in the car, used them at the beach and for sports, yet I do not have any signs of wear or tear. For the price though, I do expect to see some wear on the quality. If I’m wrong then great! Still, at the price point, I don’t think this will be an issue.
PRICE
What makes these shades great is the price point of $10-15. They do look great, and again I have received many inquiries as to where I bought them. Sure you can go buy some cheap pair of sunglasses at Walmart, but let’s be honest, they don’t always look great. Plus you may not find the pair you liked if you ever needed to purchase them again. Merry’s, on the other hand, are stylish, cheap, and created by a brand you can follow!
Not only are they cheap, but a bonus you get a case, cleaning cloth, and soft pouch! It also comes with a user manual, but I trust you won’t be needing that. Not a selling point by any means, but I will be more than happy to have extras.
EFFECTIVENESS
These aren’t styled for sports so I wouldn’t recommend these for events that require serious eye protection. I have used these in beach volleyball tournaments, so it is doable but this style wasn’t designed for that kind of use. Merry’s Polarized Unisex Sunglasses are a more modern style that leaves more room for light and potentially objects into the corners of the frame. I have never had that happen but sometimes that opening can cause a reflection on the inner part of the lens. They don’t have that snug fit as some sports glasses have. Again, I have entered sand volleyball tournaments with these Merry’s and I have had zero issues of sun, sand, and sweat.
The polarization is also excellent. When fishing or kayaking, they do knock the glare off the water allowing me to see further down. I have done a side by side comparison with Costa Del Mar sunglasses, and while not quite on par with them, I do feel like Merry’s hold their own against them. Going back to the quality and longevity of the shades, I would imagine that being a cheaper pair of shades, the polarization might scratch off over time. I haven’t experienced this with Merry’s but I’ve seen it time and time again with cheaper sunglasses. So far I have had no issues with this.
SUMMARY
Overall Merry’s Polarized Sunglasses looks superb and performs greats. The only downside is that they may not be as durable as high-end sunglasses. Again that’s only a possibility, and I haven’t experienced any issues with mine. For the price point, it’s worth it.
I know there are higher quality brands on the market, but that’s just more money to lose. Take a chance Merry’s Polarized Sunglasses because in reality there is so little risk involved or maybe purchase these as your second pair.
Either way, I believe you will be pleased with the product, and if not there’s always Amazon’s return policy. Also worthy to note Merry’s offers a 30-day money-back guarantee as well. I’ve not had to deal with their customer service personally.
